Maurice Brown - bass, is a native of Huntsville, AL. He plays bass although his original instrument was drums. Mr. Brown received a bachelor's and master's degree in history from Alabama A&M. Mr. Brown has become a jazz and latin musician since graduating from high school performing locally and in surrounding states. In addition to using his muscianship skills with the Soft Note Combo he also performs with local Latin Rhythms Band. Mr. Brown has the distinction of being one of the original Latin Rhythms band members with Luis and Marlene. After 5 years he moved to Atlanta and returned 5 years later and continued performing with Luis and Marlene.
